More than a Conference. It's a Movement

The Farmer's Conference Botswana is a platform for innovation, collaboration, and growth, dedicated to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Farmers Conference – 3rd Edition

Theme: "Agriculture as a Business"

The Farmers Conference is Botswana's premier agricultural business seminar, bringing together farmers, agripreneurs, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders under one roof.

This year's theme is "Agriculture as a Business", focusing on profitability, innovation, and sustainability in farming. From livestock to horticulture, from financing to climate adaptation, the Farmers Conference provides practical knowledge, networking opportunities, and access to funding.

Now in its third year, the conference has hosted farmers and stakeholders from Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. It continues to grow as the space where farming meets business success.

Our Story

The Farmer's Conference Botswana was born from a shared vision to transform local agriculture from a subsistence practice into a thriving, modern business. Our journey began with Deep Dive Sessions, a youth-owned enterprise committed to empowering farmers with the business acumen needed to turn farming into a profitable and sustainable venture.

Our mission is to empower farmers with the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to thrive in a rapidly changing agricultural landscape. We envision a future where every farmer has access to the latest innovations, sustainable practices, and a supportive community that fosters growth and resilience.

We believe that farming isn't just subsistence or a fallback plan, it's a business. And because profitability leads to sustainability, our entire focus is on helping farmers build profitable agricultural enterprises.

Our Conference Journey

1st

1st Edition: The Beginning

Our inaugural conference with 4 speakers and 80+ attendance proved one thing: farmers are hungry for knowledge that makes their work profitable.

The first Farmers Conference was hosted with just 4 speakers:

  • Mr. Mompoloki Mogobe
  • Mr. Kenneth Mmipi
  • Ms. Kushatha Moesi
  • Mr. Rambo Masalila

Despite its small size, this first gathering laid the foundation for our vision of transforming farming into a profitable business venture.

2nd

2nd Edition: Growing Strong

Expanded to 11 local speakers and welcomed international voices, with a powerful keynote from the late Dr. Chimbombi. Attendance grew to 120+ attendees.

Our second conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers:

  • Mr. Kgengwenyane of Innolead
  • Mrs. Ntombela
  • Mr. Mogobe (returning speaker)
  • International voices included Mr. Thabo Dithakgwe and Mr. Ndlovu from South Africa, plus participation from Zimbabwe

The highlight was a keynote from the late Dr. Chimbombi, a respected agricultural figure who left farmers with timeless lessons. Participants paid P800.00 for the 2-day conference.

3rd

3rd Edition: Reaching New Heights

With Dr. Edwin Dikoloti, Acting Minister of Agriculture, as keynote speaker, we're expecting to surpass 300 farmers plus hundreds of virtual and exhibition attendees.

Our upcoming third edition represents our biggest leap forward:

  • Keynote speaker: Dr. Edwin Dikoloti, Acting Minister of Agriculture
  • Expected attendance of 300+ farmers
  • Hundreds of virtual participants
  • Free public exhibitions attracting hundreds more visitors
  • More accessible ticketing at P300.00 per seat

This growth reflects our commitment to making agricultural knowledge accessible and actionable for all farmers in Botswana.
